On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, the MSA Open House was held in Baker University Center Ballroom in celebration of Eid al-Adha, a Muslim holiday of great importance.

Sadly, the Rebel wasn’t working for this event, so a back up was used and the pictures came out a little shaky. Nonetheless, the event was quite interesting and did a wonderful job explaining Muslim prayer, as well as correcting stereotypes regarding Muslims and Islam itself.

If you’re like me and have limited knowledge on the religion, I recommend checking out the website http://maedaalelm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/How-to-perform-a-Prayer1.pdf for more information on “how to perform a prayer”. This is a very informational page that helped supplement my knowledge gained during the MSA Open House and helped toward this blog post.
