[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ttention, area parents: Are you looking for a few hours to run some errands, catch up on some much-needed rest or housework, or enjoy a date night? Employees at Ohio University’s Ping Recreation Center are here to help!
For the first time ever, the Ping Employee Relations Club is offering a program designed to lend a helping hand to busy parents while raising funds for the club.
The Parents’ Night Out program is being held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, while the Parents’ Day Off program is being offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28. Both programs will be held at the Ping Center.
During both events, Ping Center employees will provide fun-filled, cost-effective, and supervised programming for children ages 5 and older, freeing up time for their parents to engage in their own activities.
“These events are really great opportunities for kids to experience something new,” Kellyanne Holland, a graduate assistant director of group fitness activities at the Ping Center, said of the Parents’ Day Off and Parents’ Night Out events.
