[dropcap]O[/dropcap]hio University’s Ping Employee Relations Club has decided to extend its Parents’ Day Off and Parents’ Night Out fundraiser due to a fantastic turnout at last month’s programs and in response to requests from area parents.
The club held its very first Parents’ Day Off and Parent’s Night Out programs in September. During both events, Ping Recreation Center employees provided fun-filled, cost-effective and supervised programming for children ages 5 and older, freeing up time for their parents to engage in their own activities.
Proceeds from the programs benefit the Ping Employee Relations Club, which aims to encourage and develop an efficient, professional and constructive working environment in which employees can feel valued as united individuals.
“The fundraiser was a big hit the first time around,” explained Kellyanne Holland, a graduate assistant director of group fitness activities at the Ping Center.
According to Holland, many parents who participated in the September programs expressed great interest in signing their children up for future Parents’ Day Off and Parents’ Night Out events. Ping Center employees also heard from parents who were unable to participate in the September programs.
